诸商寓居京舍，舍与邻屋相连，中隔板壁，板有松节脱处穴如盏。忽女子探首入，挽凤髻，
绝美；旋伸一臂，洁白如玉。众骇其妖，欲捉，已缩去。少顷，又至，但隔壁不见其身。奔
之，则又去之。一商操刀伏壁下，俄首出，暴决之，应手而落，血溅尘土。众惊告主人，主
人惧，以其首首焉。逮诸商鞫之，殊荒唐。淹系半年，迄无情词，亦未有一人送官者，乃释
商，瘗女首。

Enige Haendler mieteten in der Haupstadt ein Haus, das den naechsten Zimmer mit 
einer Holzwand trennte. Ein Stueck runtergefallenes Holz ueberliess der Wand ein 
Loch mit der Groesse eines Glasses. Einmal ist ein Frauenkopf durch die Wand 
gedraengt, mit einer hoch frisierten Friseur, wunderschoen. Darauf folgte ein 
Arm hergestreckt, weiss wie Jade.

Ueberrascht sahen sie die Haendler als Hexe, die wieder zurueckschlupfte, als 
sie versuchten, sie zu fassen. Nach einer Weile kam der Kopf wieder, im Zimmer 
nebenan war der Koerper aber nicht zu sehen. Nochmals stuetzten sie auf ihn, war 
er wieder verschwunden. 

Ein von den Haendlern wartete an der Wand, mit einem Messer in der Hand. Kaum 
war der Kopf hergestreckt, hackte er darauf, der gefallener Kopf spritzte das 
Blut in alle Richtungen. Die beaengstigen Maenner teilten dem Hausbesitzer den 
Vorfall mit, sodass er vor lauter Furcht die Polizei einschaltete und ihr den 
gehackten Kopf uebergab. 

Die Handler wurden verhoert, die ganze Sache stellte sich als absurd. Die 
gefangenen Manner wurden freigelassen, da der Fall, der sich bereits fuer ein 
halbes Jahr verzoergert hatte, unerklaert blieb und es keine betreffende 
Vermisstanzeige gegeben hatte. Der Frauenkopf wurde auch begraben.

A few merchants shared a room in the capital, which seperated with the next room 
by a wooden board serving as a wall. In this wooden board, one knar had fallen off, 
leaving a hole as big as a cup. 

All of a sudden, a woman's head popped in from the hole. Appearing with a 
phoenix like hair style, she looked extraordinarily beautiful. Quickly, she 
streched an arm also inside, as tender and white as jade. 

The merchants were surprised for her wicked behaviour and tried to grasp the 
head, but it already drew back. After a little while, the head came in again, 
but in the next room, her body could not be found. One tried to jump fast up to the 
head and catch it, it drew away again. 

Another merchant held a sword and pressed himself onto the board nearby to wait, 
as the head came up from the hole again, he hacked it off immediately, which 
dropped down on the floor and splashed the blood into the dust. The merchants 
were scared and informed the owner of the house, who took the head and confessed 
himself out of fright to the police. 

The police caught all the merchants and interrogated them, and found the case 
very ridiculous, which lasted on and off for about half a year without a good 
reasoning for decision. There were no pleading parties thereof afterwards 
either. The police therefore had to release the merchants and buried the head.
