Klatovy is a nice town in the western Czech Republic, about 40 km from the German border, well worth a visit, especially during the two months every summer when the Pink Skyvan flies in Klatovy.
To get to Klatovy you take the autobahn to Deggendorf (northeast of Munich) and proceed to the border at Bayrisch Eisenstein. Continue on the road to Plzen, it will take you to Kaltovy. The road winds around the town, you will find a turnoff to Nepomuk. About 2 km down this road is the turnoff to the airport. There are signs saying "letiste" (airport) and "pink".
No visa is required to enter the Czech Republic for citizens of the European Union and of the United States.
Klatovy ist eine nette Kleinstadt im Westen der Tschechischen Republik, ungefähr 40 km von der deutschen Grenze entfernt. Es ist allemal einen Besuch wert, besonders während der zwei Monate im Sommer wenn die Pink Skyvan in Klatovy fliegt.
Klatovy erreicht man über die Autobahn nach Deggendorf (nordöstlich von München). Von dort an die Grenze nach Bayrisch Eisenstein und weiter auf der Strasse nach Plzen. Die Strasse führt um Klatovy herum, dann kommt eine Abzweigung nach Nepomuk. Ca. 2 km die Strasse entlang, dann kommt die Abzweigung zum Flugplatz. Es gibt Wegweiser mit "letiste" (Flugplatz) und "Pink".
Bürger der Europäischen Union und der Vereinigten Staaten benötigen kein Visum für die Tschechische Republik.
